Newfound 19

Plymouth pulled out the come from behind victory against Newfound on Tuesday for just their 2nd loss of the season.  Newfound got solid pitching from Carolyn Miller for 4 innings.

Friday, May 22nd:

Meredith 0

Mariah Warner & Ashley Rodolosi both pitched excellently to combine for the shutout.  Fallon Adair hit a monster homerun and Allie Symonds went 4-4 with 2 doubles to lead the offense for Newfound.  Karissa Bony also played a solid short stop for the Angels.

Saturday, May 16th:

Newfound 21 

Wofeboro 8

Newfound had solid pitching with Carolyn Miller getting the win and Andrea "Mad Dog" Shinn picking up the save. Offensively, Karissa Bony had 3 hits and scored 4 runs, Allie Symonds had 4 hits, and Fallon Adair and Brenna Plankey had 3 hits each. The Angels improved to 4-1 on the season.

Plymouth 15

The Angels suffered their 1st loss of the season to Plymouth.  For the Angels, Fallon Adair hit 2 long triples, scored 2 runs, and had 2 rbi's and  Allison Christman had her first hit as a Major League player to lead the offense.  And defensively, Karissa Bony had 2 nice plays at shortstop. 

Results of Meredith Jamboree on 5/3/09 - Game 1Newfound 4  Plymouth 2, Carolyn Miller pitched well and got the win.   Allison Kirby and Brenna Plankey each were great at the plate with solid line drive hits. Game 2Newfound 8  Meredith 1,  Mariah Warner struck out 3 for the win and Andrea Shinn got the save in relief.   At the plate, Karissa Bony scored 2 runs and Allie Symonds had a steal of home.

Thursday, May 21st:

Jaguars: 2  

Megan Gebhardt made contact the 3 times she got up to the plate! The bats were also going for Shelby Nostrand, Victoria Steele, Allison Smith and McKenna Wilson. Pitchers combined had 9 strikeouts and the girls played their best game to date!

Wednesday, May 20th:

Franklin: 8

Cougars: 10

McKenna Wilson and Shelby Nostrand had 5 strikeouts combined. Shelby Nostrand and Megan Gilpatric worked together to get a clean out at first base in the second inning. Megan Gilpatric also got all 3 outs in the second inning! Sydnie Comeau and Reagan Yarborough made contact to get on base for the Cougars. Victoria Roman, Emily Judkins, Allison Smith, Shelby Nostrand, McKenna Wilson, Brittney Albert, Meg Gebhardt, Katie O'Neill, Victoria Steele, and Emma Woodbury all crossed the plate.

Monday, May 18th:

Plymouth 9

Cougars 9

For the Cougars, Shelby Nostrand had 4 strikeouts and stuck it out to pitch the entire game. Megan Gilpatric dominated the third inning getting all 3 outs. Emily Judkins caught a fly ball by 2nd base to contribute an out as well.

Wednesday, May 13th:

Franklin 10

Jaguars had a great comeback in the forth inning to tie the game.  Another great defensive game with another double play turned by Caitlin McAfee and Hailie Clark and a great catch by the catcher Amanda Johnston on a foul tip to end the game with bases loaded.  Caitiyn had a triple at the plate with Hailie tallying 2 singles with runs from Trinity Hanser, Alex Wheeler, Annabelle Peabody, Kayla Rotondi, Natalie Haskell among others.

Gilford 7

Newfound 13  

In Wednesday's game against Gilford, Darian Reed got her first hit of the season! Victoria Roman, Victoria Steele, Megan Gebhardt, and Megan Gilpatric also made contact at the plate. Shelby Nostrand contributed 4 strikeouts and every girl crossed the plate.

Monday, May 11th:

Hill 13

Newfound 8  

Newfound played a hard game vs. Hill on Monday. Victoria Steele and McKenna Wilson both had a strikeout. There was some great backup behind the plate from Sydnie Comeau. Sydnie and McKenna had a great play at homeplate, getting the runner out.

Jaguars   6

Andover 5

In a great defensive game in which the Jaguars turned a double play with several strong plays by Amanda Johnston, Hailie Clark and Caitlin McAfee.  5 innnings of great pitching by Caitlin and Amanda combining for 6 strikeouts. Great hitting by the team against great pitching.  Jaguars run scoring was lead by Annabelle Peabody, Alex Wheeler & Trinity Hanser.

 

Friday, May 8th:

Cougars 4

Meredith 8  

In the Cougars second game of the season, Shelby Nostrand, Megan Gilpatrick, McKenna Wilson, and Victoria Steele got hits. Darian Reed made some good contact at the plate. Allison Smith got hit by a pitch behind the plate and was out for an inning but came back strong at 3rd base. Emma Woodbury fielded a hit to center cleanly to 2nd base.

Gilford 10

Jaguars 15 

Caitlin McAfee pitched a great first inning striking out the side but after that pitchers from both teams could not find the plate walking in all 25 runs for the game.

Thursday, May 7th:

Franklin BH 8

Jaguars 9

Great pitching by Amanda Johnston striking out 6 in two innings giving up 1 run and Caitlin McAfee striking out 2 while giving up 2 runs in 1 inning and Natalie Haskell in one inning of work.  Great hitting by the Jaguars with hits by Emily Curry, Abby Robison, and Hailie Clark with a great double over the outfielders heads and a walk off double by Amanda Johnston to win the game.  Great at bats and walks by Alex Wheeler and Trinity Hanser also.  The team combined for 10 strikeouts and great defense.

 

Monday, May 4th:

Jaguars 5

Plymouth 7

In her first game pitching, Caitlin McAfee struck out 10 Plymouth batters in a tough 7-5 loss in the Jaguars first game of the year.  Great catching by Emily Curran with great defensive plays at first by Emily Wolters and timely hitting by Paige Dostie, Emily Curran and Caitlin McAfee.

Monday, May 4th:

Franklin DE: 12

Cougars: 18

The Cougars came away with a win in their first official game of the season!  Shelby Nostrand hit into center field for a double, and pitched a great first inning. In her debut as pitcher, Victoria Steele struck out 4 batters. Sydnie Comeau stayed strong behind the plate, catching the entire game. Mckenna Wilson and Allison Smith made two clean plays to get outs at first.

Blue Jays finished of a PERFECT REGULAR SEASON (8-0 in the league, 10-0 overall) with a win over Winnisquam on Monday.  Another team win with everyone getting on base!

Jays stay undefeated with another solid performance.  Game ball wen to Hayden Berry & Caleb Merrill stole home.

Orioles 3

The Blue Jays upped their winning streak to 7 in a row (8 counting Winnisquam)!  Every player reached base safely and Robby Donnelly led the team with some solid hits and 3 innings pitched allowing just 1 run.

Caleb Merrill pitched a complete game no-hitter vs. the O's on Saturday to keep the Jays undefeated!  Offense for the Jays was led by Owen McMahon & Keegan Tracy.

Dahlton Fairbank pitched 4 strong innings and also hit a monster shot over the fence to lead his team to their first W of the  year.  Mark McMenaman stays hot ripping a double for the Indians and Aidan Desmond had a nice showing on the mound going 4 innings.

Winnisquam 5

The Indians were able to come away with a win on the road against a good Winnisquam team.  Led by 4 solid innings of pitching by Mark McMenaman who also went 2-2 at the plate.  Cameron Colby came in to get the save.  Matt McDonald contributed with a bases loaded double to drive in a pair of runs.  Overall great game by the Indians!

Saturday, May 2nd:

Indians 3

This was a great pitching game from both teams.  Brad Roth got the win pitching a complete game with 9 strikeouts and giving up just 3 hits.  Dahlton Fairbank pitched 4 perfect innings striking out all 12 batters he faced for the O's.  Cameron Colby led the O's on offense with a solid hit and Cole Eastman was the star on defense making a spectacular catch in right field.

Wednesday, April 29th:

Indians 3

Both teams played an awesome game. A good nail biter. The final score was 5-3 in favor of Blue Jays. Hayden Berry was our pitcher and we had great play from all of our players. Ian Davis contributed out on offense big time to help our team come on top - with 2 outs in the top of 5th inning, with bases loaded, he planted one right off the right/center fence driving in three runs to put the Jays on top for good. Overall great game!  Cameron Colby pitched an impressive complete game for the Indians and hit a double on offense.  Brad Roth helped the Indians out with an inside-the-park homerun!

Monday, April 27th:

Blue Jays 9

Caleb Merrill pitched a complete game with 16 strikeouts to lead the Blue Jays to a victory in the first game of the season.  Mikey Donnelly earned the game ball for the Jays coming up from the Minors to contribute playing very well with 2 RBI'S.   Ben Learned also played well for the Jays, with some heads up baserunning - stealing home with-out a past ball!

The Cubs were a whole different team Saturday.  Led by the pitching of Tate Miller, they pulled out an amazing 19-1 win over the Tigers.  Solid hitting all around, good base running, and clean fielding led to a deserving victory.  Tate has been working hard on his pitching after a tough first outing, and obviously it has paid off for him.

Cubs 9

The Cubs vs. Mets game was a nail-biter.  The Cubs did everything right, but a determined Mets team was able to hold on till the end, fighting off a Cubs rally in the bottom of the sixth inning, getting the third out to end the rally with an anxious runner sitting on third.  Both teams did everything right in this head to head match, but the Mets were strong enough to come out victorious in the end with a 10-9 victory.

Sunday, May 17th:

Tigers 22

Cubs 4

Cubs again faced the undefeated Tigers and played a hard game.  Matt Mickewicz pitched two solid innings beside Logan Rouille.  We had a tough time on defense allowing 22 runs.  Matt Vassy had an outstanding outing with 2 homeruns and an RBI, single handedly driving in 3 of our 4 runs.  The young players had a good time all in all playing two consecutive days and look forward to meeting the Mets on Tuesday.

Diamondbacks 10

Cubs 9

Saturday’s game was a hard fought battle against the Diamondbacks.  The kids played amazing ball and let the fans see an astounding ball game.  After suffering a previous loss due to the 10 run rule, the kids rallied in the bottom of the sixth inning, losing by a heart breaking one run in a 10-9 loss to a determined Diamondback team.  Cubs got a much better performance by the entire team in putting up a hard fought battle against a solid Diamondbacks team.

Thursday, May 14th:

Tigers vs. Cubs - RAINED OUT, make up game to be played on Sunday, May 17th, 5pm @ Wells Field

Diamonbacks defeated the Mets

Cubs pulled out their first win of the season with an offensive explosion scoring 14 runs!

The Dbacks got their 2nd win in a row powered by Anthony White & Leo Ntourntourekas who each had timely hits driving in multiple runs.  The Dbacks also got solid pitching from Ricky DeLuca & Tyler LeBlanc.

The Tigers offense continued it's hot hitting led by Ben Morrill who hit yet another triple.  The Tigers got a great game from Jacob Borsh in his first ever game catching.

Diamondbacks came out on top in extra innings with a great team effort!

Tigers 17

A close back and forth game until the 4th inning when the Tigers' offense really came alive.  Nathan Desrochers pitched a complete game for the Tigers and Ben Morrill hit 2 triples to lead the way on offense.  The Dbacks got an inside the park homer from Anthony White!

Tuesday, April 28th:

Cubs 7

Mets pulled out a close win over the Cubs in the first Minor League game of the year!
