END OF REGULAR SEASON - Tournament Play now underway!

6/7/10:

Meredith 8

Jags 4   A close game for the final game of the season. Some great defense as the Jags caught 3 baserunners stealing!! Hailie Clark pitched her best game of the Season giving up only 3 runs in 3 innings. Some great hits in the game by Emily Judkins, Madison Timmons, and Hailie Clark. Congratulations to a great Season Jaguars!!!

6/3/10:

Gilford 13

Jaguars 8

A fired up Jaguars team saw some good pitching and fielding from Gilford in a close game. Ann Bascom C and Mckenna Wilson 3B hooked up again on a nice play throwing out a runner stealing 3rd. Special mention to Mikayla Royea who is quickly becoming the teams most improved player with her speedy baserunning and good glove. Mikayla beat out a steal home tonight on a close play sliding perfectly under the tag!

6/2/10:

Plymouth Red 13

Jaguars  8

Close game at home with alot of action. Great hits from Jessica Gossen, Emily Judkins, Ann Bascom, and Hayleigh LeTourneau who hit a 2 run double in the 2nd inning. Excellent efforts from Mckenna Wilson and Emily Wolters who both played well as they pitched for the first time this season. Mikayla Royea also did well playing Catcher for the first time.

5/28/10:

Moultonboro 11

Jags 10   The Jaguars certainly know how to keep their games close. Their outstanding play continues and the team is developing into a bunch of young Softball Superstars. Congrats on the effort of Mackenzie Mitchell for pitching for her first time. Amanda Solomine hit a nice deep fly ball double to left field in the 3rd inning. Special mention  to Ann Bascom C and Mckenna Wilson 3B for throwing out a runner on a steal attempt to third base.

5/26/10:

Meredith 17

Jaguars 6

The Jaguars battled the heat from both the weather and Meredith's lone pitching prodigy. Great baserunning and stealing from the Jaguars team as most of the runs were scored on walks. A fast pitcher posed a challenge for the Jaguars however a no hit bid was broken up by Ann Bascom in the 3rd inning. Ann got the first and only hit of the game and it was eventually found out that it was the only hit given up by that pitcher all season. The Jags will be hungry for a rematch in Meredith come June 7th.

5/24/10:

Jaguars 11

Plymouth Blue 10

Jaguars win a real close match up tonight against Plymouth! Emily Judkins drove in the winning run to break a 10-10 tie in the top of the 3rd inning. Victoria Roman faced a daunting task in the last inning trying to hold a 1 run lead. Up for the challenge, Victoria  pitched a gem while striking out the final batter with runners on 2nd and 3rd to end the game!! Great heads up play by all including Taylor Bourbeau who beat out a throw to home on an infield single in the second inning.

5/22/10:

Jaguars 16

Moultonboro 8

The Jaguars offense explodes on Saturday with 16 runs in 5 innings of play. Fundamental hitting and smart base running were key factors of the game. Congrats to Mikayla Royea and Emma Woodbury for recording their first stolen bases on the season. Special mention to Jessica Gossen who hit a bomb to left field which was the furthest hit for the Jaguars all season. Unfortunately she hit it right to a surprised left fielder who after bobbling the ball around a few times made the catch for the out.

5/17/10:

Meredith 8

Jaguars 1
The Jaguars were running wild as they played an aggressive Meredith team that likes to steal. A great learning experience for the team as they were introduced to yet another dimension of the game. Madison Willingham scored the only run for the Jags on a steal home. Ann Bascom did well for her first time at the catcher postition attempting to throw runners out while showing off her rocket arm.

5/15/10:

Jaguars 12

Gilford 7
The Jaguars bounced back in a big way with a win on Saturday. Victoria Roman recorded her second win on the season allowing only 2 runs. Mackenzie Ryan closed out the game while improving on her pitching skills .The offense and the hitting continued with the team recording several hits. The team made it's first Double play of the season thanks to Hailie Clark 1B and Victoria Roman P. Special Mention that Amanda Solomine made a nice line drive catch at SS with bases loaded to end the first inning.

5/14/10:

Moultonboro 15

Jaguars 10
A great game with alot of offense from both teams. The Jaguars came up short for the win although they proved that they can score runs with good hitting. The bats were flying early as Dakota Goguen and Mackenzie Mitchell both beat out an infield single. Jessica Gossen and Hayleigh LeTourneau contributed to the late inning rally each with a 2 run Double.

5/10/10:

Plymouth Red 8

Jaguars 1
Tough loss and cold weather tonight in Plymouth. Considered more of a warm weather team, the Jaguars battled the elements, but could not heat up on offense. Hayleigh Letourneau pitched very well for her first time on the mound this season. Congrats to Mackenzie Ryan who ripped a nice hit down the first base line during the first inning.

5/5/10:

Meredith 5

Newfound Jaguars 6

The Jaguars came from behind against a good pitching team to get the win!!
Down 5-1, Ann Bascom sparked the late inning comeback with an inside the park homerun that scored 3. Soon after the bases were loaded and then the final 2 runs of the game were walked in. Special mention to Emily Wolters who with her great speed ran out an infield single during the last inning rally.

5/3/10:

Plymouth Blue 11

Jaguars 7

A good learning experience as a few miscues on defense decided the game. The team put together a great overall effort! Hailie Clark was confident on the mound as she pitched her first softball game. Special mention to Emma Lageaux as she blasted a hit to right field knocking in 2 runs in the 2nd inning.

4/29/10:

Hill 0

Newfound Jaguars 8

The Jaguars came away with an impressive victory in their first game of the season!  Victoria Roman pitched a 1 hit shutout!!  The rest of the team did really well and special mention that Mckenna Wilson made a great 2 out line drive catch at SS with the bases loaded to end the 2nd inning.
